Commenting after the debate Antony said:
When speaking in Parliament it can sometimes seem daunting. The cameras, the microphones. But knowing that you’re there to do a job - to bring up the concerns that people in our area bring to me. To celebrate the achievements of our local organisations and businesses. To beat the drum for our neck of the woods. That’s what drives you on.
Today I spoke in the debate following the King’s Speech. I wished His Majesty a Happy Birthday this morning, but this afternoon I spoke in length about our home - and what matters here. Supporting our local businesses, creating jobs, the opportunities we need to seize, the huge investments we’ve secured. And the issue of potholes which is a regular concern of many.
You can have a watch and let me know what you think. I cover quite a lot but it’s important our voice is heard in Westminster, just as much as any other area.
