Antony Higginbotham MP visits Whittlefield Primary School as part of his school tour.
For the last few months he's been out and about visiting our local primary schools to talk about his role, hold ‘mock parliaments’ and encourage our young people to be interested in politics and democracy.
The school council showed Antony around and introduced him to each class, before Year 6 then had a debate on the Covid-19 pandemic.
Antony said:
It was brilliant to see how interested and involved everyone was, and we’ve definitely got some aspiring MPs in the making.
I then held a Q&A with the school council where we spoke about everything from how I got into politics through to Ukraine.
Big thanks to Mr Booth for arranging. I can’t wait for the next school visit!
