Today in Parliament I signed the Book of Solidarity with Ukraine. Signed by both Members of Parliament and Peers, the book will be sent to Ruslan Stefanchuk, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine (their National Parliament).
In doing so I expressed my support, and that of residents across Burnley and Padiham, and optimism that whilst times will feel dark and endless now, light and peace will eventually return. We must continue to do all we can to achieve that aim and to stop the awful suffering being inflicted on Ukrainians by Putin and the Kremlin.
As I said in the book, Україна переможе (Ukraine will win).
