Whilst I couldn’t be there in person I’m grateful to Cllr Jamie McGowan for laying a wreath on my behalf at the Holocaust Memorial Service that took place in Burnley town centre.
We should never forget what happened, and always work to ensure that history never has the chance to repeat itself. I was privileged to lay a wreath at Yad Vashem and will always work to stamp out hatred and prejudice wherever it exists. So that we never see a repeat of these atrocities.
