Burnley and Padiham MP Antony Higginbotham asked what work the DWP is doing with the Ministry of Defence to support our armed forces personnel as they transition back into civilian life.
Because it's vital that the skills and qualification that our men and women learn whilst in the forces are properly utilised when they leave. Not just for their wellbeing but because they have so much to offer.
The Minister confirmed that figures show over 85% of veterans find work easily once leaving the forces - but for those that need that little extra help support is available. That includes voluntary entry into the work and health programme, as well as the support provided by Armed Forces Champions up and down the country who complement the Resettlement support provided by the Ministry of Defence.
As ever Antony continues to support those who serve our country!
