Antony Higginbotham MP joined thousands of Burnley and Padiham residents at the Towneley Park Bonfire and Firework display.
Attended by approximately 6000 local residents of the borough the event was a sell-out, with families and friends gathering to celebrate Guy Fawkes night in the first open event since the pandemic.
The celebrations kicked off with the opening of the fair ground and the lighting of the bonfire, before the mega fireworks display saw the evening end with a bang, wowing one and all.
Commenting on the event Antony said:
It was a brilliant event up Towneley this evening. Especially the firework display! And I hope everyone has had a great Bonfire Night!
Well done to the Council for making sure the event went ahead this year. Being able to celebrate as normal made Bonfire Night that much better.
