Yesterday Antony Higginbotham MP met with the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care Matt Hancock MP.
During the meeting Antony raised the improvements needed to NHS provision in Burnley and Padiham.
Commenting on the meeting Antony said:
"Matt and I had a very positive conversation about what we need to do in Burnley & Padiham for the NHS, including the extra GPs, nurses and allied health professionals we need to ensure our care provision locally remains world class.
The NHS is rightly one of our cherished institutions and I was pleased that Matt understood the need to invest in local provision in Burnley."
Antony and the Health Secretary agreed to meet again in the New Year to get to work straight away on delivering the improvements discussed during the General Election campaign.
