The Lord-Lieutenant of Lancashire and The Dean of Blackburn led a special service of Choral Evensong at 4:00pm on Sunday to mark Her Majesty The Queen becoming the first British Monarch to celebrate a Platinum Jubilee after 70 years of dedicated service.
Antony joined with MP's from across East Lancashire, along with the Police and Crime Commissioner and the Mayor of Burnley to celebrate the Queen's lifetime of service.
Commenting Antony said:
I’m was immensely proud to represent Burnley and Padiham at the service which celebrated Her Majesty the Queen’s selfless 70 years on the throne.
It was great to see every area in attendance for the Civic Service - and I’m really looking forward to next week’s celebrations.
God save the Queen
